I LOVE these workouts. I have a middle schooler, grade schooler and a 2 year old…I couldn’t find a workout that worked for my schedule until this one. They are
    1. Fast…20 min or less!
    2. Very effective…I have dropped my last 5 lbs post baby and I’m only half way through!
    3. They don’t leave me feeling crippled and unable to all the things I need to do.
This is the first workout that has hit all 3 on my workout wish list! Love it

The only video I have found for beginner/intermediate that gives you a great workout in 20 minutes. Some of the exercises are tough. But since they’re only around 45 seconds each, it’s easy to convince yourself you can do them. After just a week I am starting to feel stronger. I have lost an inch off of my 35 in waist (with a low calorie diet as well).

I can’t actually believe how effective these workouts are. While I’m out of country for 3 months, one of the hardest things for me to do, is to keep up with my typically regimented workout schedule. I usually run about 3 miles 5 days a week and then do weights at the gym. I’ve never been one to stress out about putting on weight, because it’s the natural ebb and flow of our bodies, especially as women—and I refuse to feel less worthy if I’ve put on some weight. What I was worried about losing was my level of fitness overall. I really enjoy being able to run 3 miles in a pretty decent amount of time and 3 months off would put a damper in that. So, for the first time in my 33 year life, I decided to give video workouts a go. I come from a family of women who have done Body Electric, Tae Bo, and strip tease video work outs all of which have never appealed to me. So, to say I was skeptical….is a huge underestimation. I actually tried to do another workout series by a very popular person on Amazon—and I found myself yelling at the computer begging her to shut her mouth and just let me work out.
This workout series is not only effective—-Julia is the least obnoxious person EVER. She’s not fake and syrupy. She will not make you want to punch her from “motivational” hype language. She doesn’t appear to have just taken a rather large hit of an upper substance and could at any moment bounce through your screen to shake you into going harder.
She is wonderfully even keel, focused, and realistic in how she communicates throughout the workout. She doesn’t spend a lot of time telling you how hard and intense the workout is. I never realized how much that kind of “motivation” actually mentally fatigues you before you actually register it on your own. You know the—-“keep it up, hang in there, you can do it, just 15 more seconds….” —that kind of repetitive jargon makes a workout seem so much more intense and puts you in a frame of mind in which you are climbing a mountain, instead of just pushing yourself further along a path you are already walking on. I don’t know if that makes sense….
With the longest workout being somewhere around 24 minutes—-these are SO doable. The 18 minute ab series—-I woke up the next morning going—wow—I feel my entire oblique area activated. Amazing.
I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am to have such an effective workout that is so easy and simple to do. While I am a single woman in her 30’s and I don’t have kids—-I am still someone who runs around and hashes out work constantly, so the convenience is incredible. Once I did the workout—I was telling my 20 something friend on her grind in New York, my late 30’s friend who works long shifts as a nurse, my late 30’s and early 40’s friends who have small kids and teens who they shuttle around for 18 million activities, and who have stopped taking time to take care of themselves because they’re so selfless.
This is a workout that is highly effective and will fit into your life. Truly—-if you aren’t taking 20 minutes for yourself a day (outside of the bathroom —- I know my mom friends will understand that escape…) —- then you deserve to invest 20 minutes for something for yourself that will remind you how capable and strong you really are. And that’s what this workout does for me. 🙂
